Smash Burger Pizza Recipe
This is one of my favorite things to make on the Baking Steel. Take everything you love about a smash burger, the beef, the cheese, the pickles, that special sauce, and put it on a pizza. It sounds crazy but it works. I've been making this for friends and family for years and it's always a show stopper.
You need our 72 Hour Dough and a quarter pound of ground beef. That's it. The rest is just toppings. Five to seven minutes on the Baking Steel at 500°F and you've got something that'll blow people away.
Smash Burger Pizza Recipe
Ingredients:
- .25 pound ground beef
- 150 grams of our 72 Hour Dough
- 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup white cheddar cheese, grated
- 1 pickle, sliced
- Thin sliced white onion
- A few cherry tomatoes
- 1 oz. special sauce (equal parts ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise)

Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 500°F (260°C) with the Baking Steel using convection on the top rack.
- Roll out your dough to about 12 inches in diameter and place on your dusted pizza peel.
- Distribute the beef in small chunks over the top. Then add the white onion, tomatoes, and pickles.
- Launch onto your Baking Steel and bake for 5-7 minutes.
- Remove and drizzle the special sauce on top.

This one always gets a reaction. The white cheddar and mozzarella combo with the pickles and special sauce, it hits different. Make it once and it'll be in your regular rotation. Trust me.
