Warranty & Returns

As part of Baking Steel's quality policy, customer satisfaction is essential to our business. We'll do just about anything (well, almost) to make sure you're thrilled with your product. If you're not happy, neither are we.

Lifetime Warranty

All Baking Steel products are backed by a lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship under normal household use.

If your steel cracks or breaks during normal use in a home oven or on a household grill, we'll replace it.

This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, neglect, improper care, or extreme temperature changes, including but not limited to:

Thermal shock — including placing a hot steel into cold water, hosing off a hot steel, submerging while hot, or any rapid cooling
Exposure to uncontrolled open flame (campfire, bonfire, etc. — normal grill use is covered)
Outdoor storage or prolonged exposure to moisture
Commercial or non-household use

Surface rust, discoloration, patina, and cosmetic wear are not covered under warranty. These are natural characteristics of carbon steel and do not affect performance. With proper care and seasoning, rust is completely preventable.

Warranty covers one replacement per original purchase. A replacement does not restart or extend the warranty period.

To make a warranty claim, email us at info@bakingsteel.com with your order number and photos of the issue. We'll work with you on a replacement.

Returns & Refunds (30 Days)

You may request a return or refund within 30 days from the date your order was shipped.

To be eligible for a refund:

Merchandise must be unused
In the condition it was received
And in the original packaging

Custom-size Baking Steels are final sale and not eligible for returns or refunds.
Used products cannot be returned due to health and safety reasons.

If your return request falls within 30 days of shipment, we will provide a prepaid return shipping label.

Damaged or Incorrect Orders

If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact us at info@bakingsteel.com within 7 days of delivery, and we'll make it right.

International Orders

Due to the high cost of international shipping and customs, we are unable to accept returns on international orders. All international sales are final.

A Note on Appearance

Minor imperfections, surface markings, and slight color variations are normal results of our hand-seasoning process and do not affect performance. As your Baking Steel develops patina over time, these markings will become less noticeable.
