Under $50
Stocking stuffers, add-ons, and gifts for someone who already has a steel.
Baking Steel Artisan Dough Cutter, $29
304 stainless blade, white oak handle, 5 7/8" wide. It's the tool I grab every time I divide dough. Clean cuts, no sticking. 4.4 stars from customers.
72 Hour Pizza Dough Mix, 1 Pack, $29
My cold-ferment dough recipe, pre-measured with Central Milling organic flour. Just add water. One pack makes about 1,000 grams of dough, and you split it however you want, from small thin-crust rounds to full-size pies, or a mix of both in one batch. Ferment it 24, 48 or 72 hours. The longer you go, the more flavor. Twelve-month shelf life, so it doesn't matter if they wait until January to use it.
Baking Steel Cleaning Bricks, $29
A pack of four. They take off burnt cheese, oil buildup and light rust without hurting the seasoning. Not a glamorous gift, but every steel owner needs them. 4.6 stars from 96 reviews.
Baking with Steel Cookbook, $29
Pizza, baguettes, steaks a la plancha. It's for the person who wants to use the steel for more than Friday pizza.
Baking Steel Dough Container, 5L, $39
An airtight cold-proofing box that fits on any fridge shelf. It holds up to 1,500 grams of flour, which is two dough packs. Pair it with the dough mix and you have a complete gift for under $70. 4.8 stars.
Bracelet Cooling Racks, 5 Pack, $20
Heat-safe to 550°F. Bread bakers love these.
Under $100
Gifts that look good under the tree.
The 12" Cherry Wood Pizza Peel, $69
The peel I designed for myself and use every day. It's made in the USA from cherry wood. I launch with it, then slice and serve right on it. Works with every Baking Steel.
The 14" Cherry Wood Pizza Peel, $79
The right size for the Original. If you're giving the Original, this is the peel to go with it. 4.9 stars from 92 reviews.
The 16" Cherry Wood Pizza Peel, $89
Built to match the Pro for full 16-inch pies. It's too big for the Original, so only pick this one if they have a Pro.
Pizza Rocker, 12" Blade, $69
Stainless blade, walnut handles, made in Massachusetts. Press down once and the whole pie is cut, and the toppings stay put. Slicing with a rocker is just fun.
72 Hour Pizza Dough Mix, 3 Pack, $79
Three packs, around 3,000 grams of dough. That's a lot of pizza nights for $79. If they already have a steel, this is the gift they'll actually use up. Free shipping, since it's over $50. 4.6 stars from 60 reviews.
The Carry All, $75
One sleeve that fits every steel and peel we make. For the friend who brings their steel to pizza night at your house.
The Bread Board, $99
14" x 20" cherry wood, made to pair with the Plus. Shape two sourdough loaves, launch two pizzas, then serve on it.

The Big Gift
This is the gift they'll still be using in ten years.
The Baking Steel Original, $139
This is the one that started it all. It's a 1/4-inch, 15-pound slab of carbon steel, 14" x 16", with a 1 1/2" radius on the corners. It turns a regular home oven into a pizza oven, with blistered crust in 5 to 7 minutes. It arrives pre-seasoned and ready to use. We make it and season it by hand in Massachusetts. Serious Eats, Bon Appétit, Business Insider and Food Network all named it the best pizza steel, and America's Test Kitchen named it a co-winner. 4.8 stars from more than 1,300 reviews.
The Baking Steel Kit, $239
The box I'd hand a friend who's never made pizza at home: the Original, a peel, dough, and what they need to keep the steel clean. It costs less than buying the pieces separately. Good to know: the dough ferments in the fridge for a few days before it's ready.
The Baking Steel Pro, $189
16" x 16" x 3/8" thick, 27 pounds. It's for full-size 16-inch New York-style pies in a home oven, and it's the "best upgrade" pick at Serious Eats. 4.9 stars from 286 reviews. Pair it with the 16" peel.
Baking Steel Modernist Cuisine Special Edition, $169
Developed with the team behind Modernist Cuisine. 3/8" thick, 22 pounds, 14" x 16". It's Wirecutter's pick for Neapolitan-style, leopard-spotted crust at home. 4.9 stars from 175 reviews.
The Baking Steel Plus, $179
15" x 20", 22 pounds. Bake four sourdough loaves or two pizzas side by side. It's for the serious bread baker or the person who hosts pizza night for a crowd. 4.9 stars from 334 reviews.
The Baking Steel Kamado, $149
A 16-inch round steel, 1/4" thick, built for 18-inch and larger kamado grills like the Big Green Egg and Kamado Joe. Pizza in the backyard. 4.8 stars.
Not Sure? Give a Gift Card
Baking Steel Gift Card, $50 or $100
It arrives by email right after you order, works on everything we make, and never expires. No fees. If they already own a steel, most people spend it on dough mix.
Common Questions
What's the best gift for someone who has never used a pizza steel?
The Original ($139), or the Kit ($239) if you want to give everything at once. Add the 14" peel ($79) if you buy the Original by itself.
What do I buy someone who already has a Baking Steel?
The 72 Hour Dough Mix, a peel, the Pizza Rocker, or the Cleaning Bricks. All of them are under $80.
Is a pizza steel better than a pizza stone as a gift?
For a home oven, yes. Steel conducts heat about 18 times better than ceramic, so you get a crisper crust in less time. It also won't crack, so it lasts forever. Stones are lighter and cheaper.
Does it come ready to use?
Yes. Every steel is seasoned by hand before it ships. They can open the box, preheat and make pizza that night.
Where is it made?
Every Baking Steel is made and shipped out of Stoughton Steel, our family-owned shop in Hanover, Massachusetts. Cut, finished and seasoned in America.
Will it fit their oven?
The Original (14" x 16") fits standard home ovens. The Pro (16" x 16") and Plus (15" x 20") need a full-size oven, so check the rack width first.
When do I need to order by Christmas?
Order by December 15 and it will be there for Christmas. That's our conservative date for free standard shipping in the continental US, and it leaves room for weather and carrier backups. If you miss it, email us and we will tell you honestly whether it can still make it.
