We bought the baking steel for the Anova Precision Oven in order to improve the baking of items like sourdough bread and pizza. As you can see from the result, the combination is unbeatable.
My only gripe? No way to store the steel without potentially scraping the oven or cabinets. It would have been nice to have been sent a storage sheath so that one could avoid the inevitable damage something this large and heavy might cause.

These steels are amazing!
Homemade pizza has always been "meh". And the dough was not the problem (I am a good baker). We tried all the hacks to avoid having a stone/steel, with no satisfying improvements.
Now they come out perfect, every single time.
The company messed up our order + had all sorts of supply chain issues, so the steel was shipped many weeks later. Even with this, the human relationship was so good, that it LARGELY compensate for the issues.
They really went above and beyond to make us happy. Recommend 100%.

Had this steel for the APO only a few weeks but love the thing. Used for pizza baking on multiple occasions and crusty bread bakes. Pizza crust is out of this world good, crunchy, great chew and nicely browned. No more dutch oven bread bakes for me. With the APO and this steel, easier baking in my book.
Will be running the wheels off this steel in the coming months. Lots of new bakes I want to explore and the steel will encourage success. Sure happy I made the purchase and it delivers great results.

I received my steel a couple of weeks ago and so far have been using it to make pizzas. I still need to experiment and learn. However, I'm VERY pleased with the results so far. I would just like to add one significant detail that was not mentioned in any of the reviews I read before buying it: the steel is very heavy (6 kgs/ 13 lbs) and since it's flat, especially when it's HOT, it's not easy to handle that kind of weight. I'm glad I found a place to store it where I don't have to bend down or pull/push it in/out.

Using the baking steel in my Anova Precision Oven is so handy when baking breads or pizzas. While the Anova has great temperature control I do think the baking steel provides additional temperature stability when opening and closing the oven door. I’m glad to be using the steel. It hardly leaves the oven.

Very happy with my purchase. I got my steel plate like what - couple weeks ago? I have already baked just about 30 pizzas on it. Love it. You heat it up for an hour and then you just keep them rolling. I am using it with my anova precision oven and everyone tells me these are the best pizzas they have tried. Just about 3 mins on the clock and your pizza is ready. Super cool!

Baked off 30 baguettes, a dozen boules, batards, and rolls, before reviewing. This steel does a perfect job. It fits the Anova oven precisely. I was using an upturned baking sheet and parchment, and the bread bottoms were unable to brown properly. Using the steel fires off the bottom as well as the top and the breads are prizewinning. Oven spring, ear formation, color control all 100%. The steel surface has a space age pebbly texture with some sort of permanent release slickness, and bakes just as well with or without parchment. I load with an aluminum 14x16 pizza peel which exactly fits. The steel does not disturb airflow or steam flow. It does not rust or discolor more than slight darkening despite 100% steam. Zero issues, solid customer service, highly recommended.

I LOVE the baking steel. In the past, the ANova Precision Oven baked breads were never as crusty as using the Dutch oven in a conventional oven. The baking steel fixed that. The tarts and pies brown evenly without the top being burnt and the bottom being soggy.
The baking steel regulates the temperature of the APO, and it doesn’t drop as fast when I open the door to load the pans. The temperature stays even longer so the preheat temperature doesn’t have to be much higher than the baking temperature.

I have decades of experience with thick and thin, round and rectangular baking stones. They did a fine job of helping to produce well-risen baking with a crisp crust. THEY DID NOT fit my ANOVA combi oven. Enter this steel product. The texture of the surface is much like the ceramic baking stones I have used. This sheet stores heat! THE DIFFERENCE: much more even heat in the smaller volume ANOVA Precision Oven. The difference and replicability are startling!

This was the best addition to the Anova Precision Oven! I've made perfect pizzas every time! I've used pizza stones in our built in oven and never had success like this. I even sold my outdoor wood fired pizza oven due to the incredible ease and quality of the pizzas I've been getting with the baking steel in the AOP. A must buy for anyone with the Anova oven.

Surface well finished with Sand Blasting, but the edges could have been improve with chamfers, too sharp for handling. Packing was properly done, but saw a slight dent on one of the edges (not a big concern), I believe it was inflicted before packing, since the packing was not damaged.
